The output of intense pressure and incredible time scales, minerals are the earth’s expression of time in form. Minerals contain both the geometric and the organic, forming abstract shapes in concrete structures in a uniquely palpable way. Photographing them is a way to make the unseen, magical processes of natural laws over vast, geological periods of time visible to the human observer.
