Flora

For the Flora series, Andrew and the studio returned to the subject of flowers with a different approach based on color and ground.

Each photo in the Flora series contains a uniform-color background drawn from the subject of the photograph, in this case from the petals or stem of a flower. Like the uniform white or black backgrounds of previous series, this serves to create a space of encounter with the subject. In the case of this series, an element of the subject itself is present in both the foreground and background, which allows the diversity of the floral world to be seen clearly when the works are arranged in a grid.
