Film three of four in Andrew’s Lifecycle Studies series , Emergence shows the two-week emergence of butterfly from chrysalis unfolding over minutes. Playing with the compression and expansion of time and motion, the Lifecycle Studies films were first shown in the Barney’s Madison Avenue windows in 2014, then exhibited in The Nevada Museum of Art and Dries Van Noten Inspirations exhibition in Antwerp the following year.
