Film one of four in Andrew’s Lifecycle Studies series, Variance shows a taxonomical collection of butterfly species from around the world becoming animate. Playing with the compression and expansion of time and motion, the Lifecycle Studies films were first shown in the Barney’s Madison Avenue windows in 2014, then exhibited in The Nevada Museum of Art and Dries Van Noten Inspirations exhibition in Antwerp the following year.
